Nevada
Inland state, western border share with the California, majority of interests is situated in the south.
On the way from Death Valley there lies an old mining town Beaty, genuine one-horse town with realy advanced
i-net library (comparing with us, Bratislava 2002). Further south you'd pass a turning to the Area 51, emblazoned
with myth and legends about top-secret military research on extra-terestrials /after all,who knows who's
realy observed/ and a bit more south there finaly looms a gem of Nevada's desert, the most glittery savings-squeezer
far and wide: Las Vegas. Probbably the main water supply is the near reservoir Lake Mead, which in the last time
achieves alarming drop of water level. Including 221m high Hoover Dam it places itself among the largest man-made
lakes in the Western Hemisphere. By the way, I think this was the place used for shooting several scenes
for the well known action blockbuster - Universal Soldier.

Las Vegas
Glamour and wickedness in the midle of nowhere. Showcase of artefacts from all over the world, among them
you will find here Eiffel's tower, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, medieval strongholds, naval ships,
even towns built up in details including sky (Venice, New York...). For someone it may be a strong meat,
however I must confess I liked this city for its crazy kitsch originality. After all, where else could
you see naval pirate battle just in the street, or impressive ballet of light and water spouts guided by
music (e.g. "My Heart Will Go On")? I must not omit the pervasive gaming machines, set out as little altars
for grateful worshippers in every hotel, bar, shop and casino, of course. Obviously this income might be
the cause of the lowest prices of hotel lodging I have ever experienced overseas (24USD/apt).
